CAS Learning Outcomes
1. Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
One of my most memorable service projects has been the reef clean up. As a Leader of the Love Ocean Life club, I along with my co-leaders organized the beach clean-up with almost 30 students. We traveled to Bang Saen Beach and spent a day there cleaning up different beaches and reefs. We landed on the island, collected trash, and sorted it out in different categories. Our strengths were that this was definitely a good cause which helped spread the word about the environment and marine life preservation. A limitation we faced was doing the cleanup itself. There were many sharp objects and trash that ended up in some injuries. We should have been more mindful of our surroundings.
