This year I am part of the Student Council (SC) and under the SC I am leading the Community Engagement committee. Like every year, the committee has to organize certain evets, Breast Cancer awareness month being one of them to raise awareness about such topics in the Wells community. Since I am one of the leaders of the committee, I along with the members and fellow leaders organized the event for Breast Cancer awareness. We stuck posters on the walls and bulletin boards around the school for students and teachers to read and gain more knowledge about health topics like these. We also allocated a day within the month of October to encourage students and teachers to wear pink. Along with wearing pink the committee ourselves made the pink ribbons and distributed it to everyone in the school. We do this every year to make sure everyone in our school community is aware about this. However, something different we did this year was that we used social media platform, Wells Wellness Facebook page to spread awareness at a greater level. For a week we posted some facts about breast cancer and why this month is important.
