5. Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively
I am a member of SerWIS, a student-led club at Wells International School. The main goal of the club is to collaborate with non-governmental organizations and give back to the local community. The club has collaborated with organizations such as "Steps with Theera", "HDF Mercy Center" and "A21". Being part of the club, we assembled around a 100 first-aid kits to donate to Duang Prateep Foundation. We worked as a team to accomplish the goal of assembling the kits. The club leaders had all organized the components that were supposed to be in the first-aid kit and the members of the club collaboratively helped assemble it. This experience taught me to work together with different people in order to get to a common goal. I did know the components of a first-aid kit but it was my first time organizing one. It was something new I learned and I wish to have continue to help local communities through this club and several other opportunities.
