CAS Learning Outcomes

1. Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth

2. Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process

5. Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively

6. Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance

Last summer, I had an opportunity to attend Compass Education Youth Sustainability camp in Chiang Mai which was attended by students from over 5 countries from Europe and Asia. During the camp I learnt about tools that provide a comprehensive understanding of Nature, Economy, Society, and Well-being and the interconnectedness between them. It was held from June 24th to July 3rd. We had various team building activities as well as leadership activities. This camp really developed my critical thinking and engagement towards the community. I think this was very important step towards my learning about environmental systems. With the help this camp, I was also able to apply the knowledge to my IB ESS class. I am very keen to learn about environmental concerns and how we can solve them with the help of sustainability. I want our future to remain secure in terms of climate condition. I truly believe that if the younger generation is not made aware of these global challenges it will be very difficult to sustain the current initiative being taken by the global community.
